Euclid and Imperial Activision Team
UCP, along with the San Diego Police Department, City of San Diego Code Compliance Officers, San Diego County Department of Homeless Solutions & Equitable Communities, Diamond BID, business owners, residents, and numerous other partners met consecutively for three years to successfully reduce the crime, loitering, and the number of unsheltered population on the corner of Euclid and Imperial (Lincoln Park community), which was often referred to as the “Four Corners of Death” by locals. Our activation team was able to provide humane solutions to the unsheltered population through mental health services and connection to other resources, as well as constant conversations with the San Diego Police Department urging them to respond to distress calls involving unhoused individuals with mental health professionals instead of law enforcement. As a result of these efforts, Euclid and Imperial has remained clean and safe for the community. UCP has now hosted several community events at the location with local businesses and residents in attendance.
